About our President
Joseph P. Ricci
When Joseph Ricci founded JPR
Risk Management in 1989, his goal was to utilize the
technical expertise he had accumulated over 25 years in the
insurance industry to control his client’s insurance costs.
For the past fifteen years, he has done just that,
representing such companies as Aladdin Bakers, AFC
Enterprises, Palladia Inc., UCP of Greater Suffolk and
Worldwide Food Products.
For the first 15 years of his career, Mr. Ricci held
positions, ranging from Property and Casualty Auditor to
Underwriting Manager, with some of the industry’s largest
insurance carriers. During this time, he fine-tuned his
technical skills and utilized the training afforded him to
develop the techniques he uses today.
In 1981, he joined Frank B. Hall and Company of Long Island
and worked exclusively on construction accounts, most of
which developed premiums in excess of half a million
dollars. From 1981 until 1990, he was employed by agencies
specializing in the construction industry. While he was
Division Director for Alexander & Alexander Services of New
York, Inc., he managed commercial agency accounts. He later
developed one of the first computer programs to analyze the
Workers’ Compensation Experience Modification formula in the
State of New York.
He has been interviewed and filmed by Business Management
Development Corporation, a subsidiary of Hartford/ITT,
and lectured at the Foundation for Accounting Education
and the Courier Times on Insurance Rating and Auditing. He
has provided expert witness services both in the United
States and Puerto Rico.
Mr. Ricci has become a valuable resource for many accounting
and law firms, as they frequently call upon his guidance and
technical skills for a variety of insurance matters
including audits, insurance company negotiations, workers’
compensation and litigation preparation. |
